Debugging

A type of tool used for testing and debugging computer programs. Debugging is used to find defects within a program (bugs) and resolving issue they are causing. With debugging tools you can execute the program to a certain point or one line at a time, depending on how you want to examine it.

A PaaS tool that helps in creating applications: it handles the code, enables deploying new versions, shows statistics via built-in CloudWatch. It also improves application security by enabling HTTPS and provides direct troubleshooting.

Elasticsearch

A search and analytics engine based on Apache Lucene. It is designed to analyze big volumes data from any source and search through it. It can be used as a base technology for applications that have search feature (e.g., online store, price alert platform).

An abbreviation of tools Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana. It is a Docker image that enables you to use a centralised log server and log management web interface to analyze any data set with the help of its compounds.

A family of cross-platform customizable text editors. It has many features, including syntax highlighting, automatic indentation, REPL support, debugging, code browsing, version control integration and much more. GNU Emacs and XEmacs are the two most popular versions.

Ethereum

A blockchain-based platform and OS for building applications. Ethereum apps run on a blockchain without any third-party interference, censorship or fraud, which improves security and reduces risks. The platform has many features, including the ability to make tokens, that can be used as a cryptocurrency.

A business intelligence software. It is a cloud-based self-service platform used for interactive data visualization, analysis, data management, and much more. It also offers report building features, geographical maps, customizable dashboards and multi-language support.

Final Cut Pro

A set of video editing software for MacOS. Final Cut Pro provides tools for video editing and organizing large complex projects, with motion graphics, audio and special effects. It also supports multicam editing, large and high rate frames, 2D and 3D tiles with studio quality.

FlashDevelop

A lightweight and fast code editor. It is used for creating Adobe Flash websites, applications and games. FlashDevelop offers snippets and templates for simplifying development. It can also be personalized and customized using plug-ins.

Fluentd

A data collector tool for unifying collection and consumption of data, which aids getting more knowledge out of the same data. Fluentd offers feature for collecting and outputting, filtering and buffering log data. It is written in C and Ruby.

FogBugz

A tool for project management that executes sorting and navigating tasks, issue/bug tracking. It features discussion forums, scheduling and other tools. It is used for agile development, code management, document sharing and customer support.

GCC

Stands for GNU Compiler Collection. A compiler system that supports several languages including C, C++, Objective-C, Fortran, Java, and Ada, as well as libraries for these languages.

Genesys

A drag-and-drop design tool for deploying, managing and optimizing engagement strategies. It does not require deep technical expertise. It provides features for developing and simplifying self-service applications, as well as communicating with the customers.

Gerrit

A web-based collaboration tool for developers, that allows to review and then approve or reject changes in the source code. It provides features for discussing the code within the team, use Git for larger code in the review workflow and manage workflows.

Git

A lightweight and fast distributed VCS for small and large projects alike, which it handles with the same efficiency. Git handles all changes via a series of commands. It also provides support for nonlinear, distributed workflows.

GitFlow

GitFlow is a branching model for Git. It is a list of rules to keep a repo’s history organized, and is used to make the release process, bug fixes, and feature creation easier.

GitHub

A web-based distributed VCS for tracking changes and coordinating work on files among multiple people. It includes, but is not limited Git functionality, and offers features like code review and hosting, discussions and feedback, team collaboration and management.
