IBM Cloud

A set of cloud computing services from IBM that includes PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS. Offered through public, private and hybrid cloud delivery models. Provides developers with instant access to the services needed to launch quickly, iterate continuously and scale successfully. 

kops

Stands for Kubernetes operations. Helps to create, destroy, upgrade and maintain Kubernetes clusters from the command line. It is supported on Amazon Web Services with GKE in beta support, and VMware vSphere in alpha.

MAAS

Stands for Metal as a Service. It is a cloud computing technology that lets you use physical services like virtual machines. It allows you to manage a number of physical machines and offers features for hardware testing, IP address management, VLAN and fabric support, etc.

NetSuite

An integrated cloud business software suite that enables companies to manage all key business processes in a single system. NetSuite is used to manage inventory, for enterprise resource planning (ERP), to keep track of financials, to host eCommerce stores, and to maintain CRM systems.

OneDrive

Microsoft OneDrive is a file hosting service and synchronization service operated by Microsoft as part of its web version of Office.

OpenShift

A container application platform for building, developing and deploying any infrastructure; a supported distribution of Kubernetes that uses DevOps tools and Docker containers for application development.

OpenStack

An open source software platform for private and public clouds. As an IaaS platform, OpenStack enables companies to add servers, storage and networking components to their cloud.

ownCloud

It is a web-based enterprise data storage, designed for collaboration, file sharing and file synchronization. ownCloud supports different formats, including Open Document and PDF. It offers different usability features, including shared document editing, anti-virus protection, desktop and mobile applications.

PaaS

Platform as a service, PaaS for short, is a cloud-based computing environment that enables to develop, run and manage web applications without having to deal with the infrastructure necessary for building apps. Like IaaS, PaaS includes infrastructure – servers, storage, and networking – but also middleware, development tools, BI services, and more.

Power BI

Cloud-based BI software that allows analysts, business and IT specialists get insights from different data sources by connecting to enterprise data. Power BI offers eatures for performing advanced analytics on data from Excel spreadsheets, cloud services, streaming and big data, and creating interactive reports (including mobile-friendly).

Pub/Sub

Pub/Sub, short for Publish/Subscribe, is a messaging pattern in software architecture where the senders of messages, known as publishers, don't specifically send messages to individual recipients but rather publish them to specific topics or channels. Subscribers express interest in one or more topics and receive messages from those topics in real time, making it an effective way to decouple different parts of a system and enable efficient communication.

Rackspace

Rackspace is a managed cloud computing company that aims to make it easy to manage private and public cloud deployments. The company is the largest managed cloud provider, offering expertise across cloud platforms such as, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft cloud/ Azure and OpenStack. 

Serverless Computing

Serverless allows you to build and run applications and services without thinking about servers.

Shippable

A SaaS platform with CI/CD and DevOps automation capabilities. Shippable provides Docker support and all essential features for developing, testing, and deploying applications from anywhere. It also allows integrations with popular DevOps tools and repositories (e.g., Bitbucket, GitHub, GitLab).

Amazon RDS

Relational Database Service is a web service that simplifies setting up, operating, and scaling a relational database in the cloud. The service provides economical and scalable use of resources while simultaneously automating time-consuming administrative tasks.
