IP

Stands for Internet Protocol. IP is a set of rules that regulates how data is transmitted over a network and how machines interact and send data packets, also called IP Packets, through this network. The main function of IP is Routing, which is the very process of transmitting IP Packets through a network. IP is the main communications protocol that basically establishes the Internet.
