Heroku was on the "Dow Jones FASTech 50 Start-ups to Watch" list. In April 2010, Gartner awarded Heroku the status of "Cool Vendor in Application Platforms as a Service."

In 2010, Heroku was acquired by Salesforce.com for $212 million.
